A vision becomes a dream

The first time I got professional photos done wasn't until after I became a mom. I cherished those photos because it was the first time I had candid photos of myself and my little guy. As a mom we are often left out of the photos, usually because we are always behind the camera capturing memories of everyone else. Sometimes we are left out by choice, having a baby changes you in so many ways and sometimes you don't recognize yourself or your body anymore. From my own personal experience i can tell you this is the worst thing to experience. It's such a foreign feeling not recognizing who you are anymore or feeling so distant from your old self before the kids came along. Getting those photos done and then seeing the beauty captured was life changing. I didn't see the tired bags under my eyes, I didn't see the extra weight I still hadn't lost. I saw the love in my son's eyes as he happily nursed, milk drunk and full of new baby bliss. I saw the love I had created with my own body, the life I brought into this world. I saw the beauty in being a mother, all of the things I do that usually went unnoticed were captured so perfectly. That's when I decided to pick my camera up and familiarize myself enough so I could capture more of those moments myself and in the comfort of my own home. As I got better at it, I had family and friends reach out asking me to photograph their beautiful families and from there my little hobby grew into something more. I've always loved putting together cute set ups for my son and his cousin's to play and take cute photos, and that has become my most requested thing. Stylized minis are a big hit and I love planning and organizing themes but my true love is family sessions. I love being a fly on the wall and watching you laugh and play as I tag along, mostly not saying much, just snapping away on my camera. I'll ask you to do or say some pretty crazy things, (who can make the best realistic FART noise?!) but trust me the outcome will always be worth it. I have a lot of ideas on how I would like to expand my business and the direction I want to go in and I hope you choose to follow along and maybe some day we can capture a bit of magic together,
