Hi, I am Julia

human, mama, and photographer (all in that order)

I am 31 years old. I have a 9 year old son who is my entire world, his name is Elijah and he is the one who inspired me to get back into photography. I have guardianship of my 17 year old brother, Robert as well as my 16 year old cousin, Christian. Christian's older brother, Angelo (25) also lives with us and is basically the chef of our household. We also have the world's best (worst?) dog ever. His name is Fluffy (Elijah named him) and he is the king of the house. The boys are absolutely smitten with him and we are definitely those crazy dog people. (We even have a pillow with his face on it!) We also have three cats, the oldest has been with us for over a year and her name is Lucy. She is a grey tabby and is the queen of the household, she keeps all of the other furbabies in line. The two kittens came as a pair from the same litter and have been with us since July 2023. They are tuxedo kitties and they are the ying and yang. Salem is the typical naughty brother while Sabrina is the sweetest most loving little girl. She loves to cuddle and be loved while her brother loves to break every rule in the house. I never imagined I'd own a cat let alone three of them but they have completed our family unit. They were the pieces of the puzzle that we didn't know we needed. As you can probably imagine, my life is chaotic and messy in the best ways. I am outnumbered by boys, i always loved the term boymom, it is an entirely different lifestyle for sure. I dream of little girls in pretty dresses their hair as wild and free as their soul, in a field of flowers or a field of tall grass, and I love everything sparkly, pink and girly, but I was meant to be a boy mom. I love adventuring to new places, finding new spots to explore with the boys. I love playing video games and eating junk food and staying up past all of our bed times. And what I love most is capturing photos of them in their most natural state, when they are being the most "them". It is something that I hold close and have always tried to carry with me into my photography. I want to capture what makes you, you.

My Vision

Everyone deserves to feel beautiful

The first time I had professional photos done was such an eye opener for me. I loved the finished products and fell in love with candids more than the cheesy posed shots. I fell in love with the quirky, silly, oddball behind the scenes shit that created magic in the final images. I want everyone to look back and remember the fun they had with me, but most importantly I want everyone to see the magic in their own beauty and self confidence. Being your true self is all the magic you need.
